Good value for old books

I was clearing out some old college books and wanted to get the most for them. Compared SellBackBooks to a few other sites for my medical textbook and a history textbook. They offered a pretty competitive price, and the free shipping label definitely helped. I sent in my books and got paid quickly once they were processed. Felt like I got a fair deal for books I wasn't using anymore. Worth the effort.

Quick sale, good payout

Sold a math textbook. Quote was fair. Shipping label was free and easy to print. Sent the book out. Got paid via direct deposit quickly after they received it. Simple process. No complaints.

Consistent buyback service

I've used SellBackBooks a few times now, and they've always been reliable. This last time, I sold an engineering textbook and a couple of psychology textbooks. The process was just as smooth as before. Got my quote, printed the label, and sent them off. Payout came within a week or so of them receiving the books, which is about what I've come to expect. Good to know I can count on them for my end-of-semester clear-outs.

Smooth process, good communication

I used SellBackBooks to sell an international edition textbook and a couple of paperback textbooks this past month. The quoting process on the website was simple enough; I just entered the ISBNs and got instant prices. Printing the shipping label was straightforward, and I dropped the package off at the post office. I received email updates when they received the books and again when my payment was processed, which arrived via direct deposit a few days later. The condition requirements were clear on the site, so I knew what to expect. Everything went as described, from the initial quote to getting paid. I would definitely use them again for future book sales.

Easy to sell textbooks

So, I had these old law school textbooks just sitting around, taking up space. Decided to try selling them. Found SellBackBooks, and it was super straightforward. Just typed in the ISBNs, got a quote, and they even gave me a free shipping label to print. Sent them off, and money showed up in my account a bit later. Didn't have to deal with shipping costs or anything. Definitely a good experience.

Totally selling books again!

Oh my gosh, I just sold my old literature book and a business textbook through SellBackBooks, and it was so easy! I literally just entered the numbers, printed a label, and mailed them out. The money showed up faster than I thought it would. I'm telling all my friends who have old textbooks lying around that they should totally use this site. Seriously, why hoard them when you can get cash!

My textbook is missing its ISBN, can I still sell it on SellBackBooks?

J Josh V. 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure you need the ISBN. That's how they identify the exact edition and give you a quote.

I don't think so. Every time I've sold, the first thing they ask for is the ISBN number to even start the process.

So, if they reject one of my books, what happens to it? Do I get it back or is it just gone?

M Mia 2 months ago
If they reject it because of condition or something, I think you have to pay for return shipping if you want it back. Otherwise, they just keep it.

Yeah, if it's not up to par, they won't pay for it. I usually just let them keep it unless it's a really expensive book.

Hey, thinking about selling some old textbooks. How fast do they actually pay out once they get your books?

J James 2 months ago
It was pretty quick for me. I think I got the direct deposit like 3-5 days after they confirmed receiving my package.

Yeah, I just did it last month. Once they process it, the money shows up within a few business days. Way faster than I expected.

Anyone know how SellBackBooks compares to like, Chegg or Amazon for selling back textbooks? Which one usually gives more?

M Mike S. 2 months ago
It really depends on the book, honestly. I always check all three and go with whoever offers the most. Sometimes it's SBB, sometimes it's Chegg.

I find SBB is often competitive, especially if they have one of those bonus codes running. Amazon usually lowballs me.

I keep seeing mentions of bonus codes. How do you even get them? Is it just random?

R Renee 2 months ago
Sometimes they email them out if you're on their newsletter. Also, check their social media, I've seen them post codes there.

I got a first-time seller bonus when I signed up. Also, right before semester ends/starts, they often have seasonal ones.
